Feeding off a school record 3rd straight 4000 plus crowd and a majority of those in the crowd wearing PINK, the Miners handled Tulane 80-65 to move to 22-2 overall and 11-0 in C-USA

The Miners, who today were lead by Erika Warren with a career high 20 points, never trailed the entire game. Warren hit a a three pointer to begin the game and the Miners went up 5-0 at the start. Tulane got as close as two points with 6:49 to go in the first half and that was as close as they would get the rest of the game.

UTEP came out firing on all cylinders in the second half and lead by as many as nineteen. To Tulane's credit, they fought back and got to within 9 points with 1:59 to play but the Miners held on and finished off a very good Tulane club.

Along with Erika Warrens 20 points, she added 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocks. Kristine Vitola put in one of her best efforts of the year with 14 points and 7 boards.

Tulane was paced by a very good player in Danielle Blagg, who poured in 18 points and added 3 rebounds. Olivia Grayson chipped in with 17 points.

The Miners travel to Tulsa this Thursday, February 16th, to take on the Golden Hurricane.
