It was only a few months ago that the city of Glendale was looking at losing the Coyotes but the city found a way to keep them.

Now the Phoenix Coyotes, who were saved by the city of Glendale and Glendale is where they play, are going to become the Arizona Coyotes.

I understand that the Arizona Cardinals play about a par five away in University of Phoenix Stadium and that Glendale is not as big of a name as Phoenix but it seems a little odd that the Coyotes would not give their name sake to the city that saved them.

Am I wrong on this? Or does no one really care?
