PGA Tour Begins New Season Tomorrow

The PGA Tour is back once again. Are you excited about it? You should be.

Unfortunately, since that fateful day in November of 2009, everyone thinks that golf has slipped a bit or has become not as relevant in the sports world then as it once was when Eldrick was roaming the fairways of the Tour on a somewhat regular basis.

What people do not give enough thought to, is that, if not for how dominate Eldrick was, it would not have spawned the generation of golfers we have the pleasure of watching now.

The slogan "these guys are good" is actually as true of a statement as there has been in a long time when talking about the young players on the PGA Tour.

On the American side, young stars like PGA Champion Keegan Bradley, Dustin Johnson, Ricky Fowler(got his first win in Korea at the end of last year) Gary Woodland, Web Simpson, Nick Watney, Ryan Palmer and Fed Ex Cup Champion Bill Haas.

Young foreign stars include, Northern Ireland U.S. Open Champion Rory McIlroy, Australia has Jason Day, England has Tom Lewis and Spain has Pablo Larrazabal just to name a few.

Yes there are the mainstays on Tour to watch and cheer for, but this younger group of golfers are something special. They play the game at a high level, are humble and what I personally like the most, they respect the game too.

Look, I can't tell you what to do, but I can ask that you give this year's PGA Tour season a chance.

Watch these guys for the talented, professional gentlemen they are. Enjoy the shot making and ball striking ability they have and let Eldrick come back in his own time. If he ever does.
