UTEP Men’s Basketball Game Versus UCF Cancelled

EL PASO, TEXAS – The UTEP men’s basketball team’s game versus UCF, scheduled for this evening at the Don Haskins Center, has been cancelled due to the effects of a winter storm in El Paso.

“Unfortunately we have had some major power outages in the community,” UTEP Director of Athletics Bob Stull said.  “We were concerned about having enough electricity to get through the game and keep people warm in the Haskins Center.  We just felt like it was in the best interests of everyone in El Paso to reschedule the game for sometime in the near future.”

As for when they might reschedule, Stull said the game would probably be played on a Monday night in the next few weeks. That would mean the Miners would have to play 3 games in a 5-day period.
