MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (AP) — Clemson had its chance against Florida State and got blown out. Ohio State fell one win short of getting an opportunity to face the Seminoles for the national title.

So instead, the 12th-ranked Tigers and No. 7 Buckeyes are headed to the Orange Bowl.

Ohio State and Clemson are the Orange Bowl's selections to play in Miami Gardens, Fla. on Jan. 3. The Buckeyes' 24-game winning streak and BCS title hopes ended Saturday with a loss to Michigan State in the Big 10 title game. Clemson gets its second Orange Bowl trip in three years, despite not winning its division of the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The Buckeyes will be vying to give Urban Meyer his fourth 13-1 season since 2006. Clemson could finish 11-2 in consecutive years with a victory.
