NMSU Marvin Menzies Talks NCAA Tournament [AUDIO]

On Monday, NMSU Aggies head men’s basketball coach Marvin Menzies joined Sportstalk to discuss his team’s return to the NCAA Tournament. The Aggies will be in Portland, Oregon to play against the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game will tip off at 7:45pm. Menzies, who last appeared on Sportstalk in November, knows it must be something special when he makes a guest spot on 600 ESPN El Paso.
“You never call me to rearrange my sock drawer or something like that. It’s always real good news when you call.”
Menzies also talked about the challenge of his opening round opponent, Indiana, and their top player, freshman center Cody Zeller..
“It’s funny, everybody’s saying it’s such a great match-up…(Cody Zeller) is a big time player. He’ s like a potential lottery player and to watch him execute ever time he runs the floor, he’s just a fantastic player.”
