NMSU Head Football Coach DeWayne Walker Talks Aggie Football on the “Sports Spin”

NMSU opens its 2012 campaign Thursday night at home against Sacramento State. Head coach DeWayne Walker knows he can’t take the Hornets lightly. The FCS team went into Corvallis last season and knocked off Oregon State.
Walker knows his squad has a lot to play for in 2012. This is the last year the WAC conference will compete at the FBS level in football, and the Aggies would love to leave the conference as champions.
Louisiana Tech is probably the best team in the league, but the schedule is very favorable for NMSU. Outside of November dates against Auburn and BYU, every game on the Aggies’ schedule is winnable.
Coach Walker talked about his squad ‘buying in’ to his program and how his team is handling its final year in the WAC.
