Welcome to another edition of Deep Dish Sports with the Iceman Brandon Cohn.

Today's show includes a review of Super Bowl XLVII, as well as a discussion about the 34 minute power outage at the Superdome.

We talk about the city of New Orleans and their chance to get future bids for the Super Bowl, as well as discuss UTEP basketball and their victory over Rice, and their game on Saturday against Tulsa.

Finally we discussed National signing day for UTEP football, and how Coach Kugler is bringing in 4 local kids to play for the Miners next season.  They include Burges running back Aaron Jones and his brother QB Alvin Jones, as well as Andress QB Ryan Metz, and Franlkin OL Derek Elmendorff.

My special thanks to UTEP Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications, Jeff Darby for joining me on today's program.  If you would like to contact Jeff you can email him at jdarby@utep.edu.

"Huge game certainly on Saturday night, I've got a lot of respect, I know Coach Floyd does for the job that Danny Manning has done at Tulsa, just unbelievable.  Hopefully we can end this home stand 3-0, and really set up a pretty exciting final 7 games of the year."

"People used to say why don't you recruit El Paso more, well now we have a coach who will recruit El Paso more. He wants to get as many El Paso guys as he can, he said he got the 4 best players in El Paso, he wants to recruit more via the walk on route."
