Minnesota Coach Jerry Kill Hospitalized with Seizures Again

Minnesota Gophers head coach Jerry Kill checked himself into the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN on Sunday for testing and treatment of multiple seizures he has experienced in recent weeks.
Kill suffered a seizure and collapsed late in the Gophers’ loss to New Mexico State earlier this season. He returned to the sideline the following week, but recently admitted that he has suffered 20 subsequent seizures since that time. He suffered another one on Sunday, which convinced him and his family that further medical treatment was needed.
The 50-year old Kill has a history of seizures, but they reportedly had been well-controlled with medication until this recent outbreak.
There is no timetable yet for Kill’s return to the sideline. The Gophers, who are 1-3 on the season and just lost, 37-24, to FCS North Dakota State, open Big Ten play this weekend at Michigan.
