Miners Win The Battle Of I-10 78-73

Keitha Adams and the UTEP Miners Women's basketball team got their season off to a great start as they won the battle of I-10 when they beat the NMSU Aggies 78-73 last night at the Don Haskins Center.

A game that was heard here on 600 ESPN El Paso, Junior Cameasha Turner poured in a career-best 27 points and senior Stacie Telles had 13 points and freshman Lulu McKinney had 12 points.

The Miners look to improve their record on Sunday as they take on SMU tomorrow at 1pm.
