The Garcia brothers (Javier, Danny, Jerry, and Tony) grew up in the meat business when they worked for their grandfather, Pete Lopez Sr, who opened Pete's Meat Market in 1959. Javier, the oldest brother, began working at Pete's in the mid 1960s as a meat trimmer. Over the next 40 years, Javier became one of the most experienced meat cutters in the city. Danny, Jerry, and Tony followed in Javier's footsteps and all three started their experience at Pete's as meat cutters, who quartered by hand. Over time, Danny and Jerry gained their experience in sales, while Tony (like Javier) gained his expertise as a meat cutter. Quintero's Meat Company opened its doors in 2000, and the Garcia brothers reunited to offer El Paso the same great service that their grandfather started 55 years ago.
