Atlanta 41 – Jacksonville 14

Matt Ryan threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns, as the Atlanta Falcons routed the Jacksonville Jaguars 41-14 on Thursday night. Ryan threw two touchdowns to receiver Roddy White and the other to Julio Jones. Atlanta (9-5) raced to a 41-0 lead before the Jaguars scored on a blocked punt returned for a touchdown in the second half. White finished with 10 receptions for 135 yards. Jones had five catches for 85 yards.

Thanks to a fierce Falcons’ defensive effort, Jacksonville (4-10) trailed 27-0 at the half. Jaguars’ quarterback Blaine Gabbert had amassed a net passing total of just minus-1 yard at the intermission. Gabbert finished with 141 passing yards, an interception and a meaningless fourth-quarter touchdown toss. He was sacked five times and fumbled twice. Jaguars’ running back Maurice Jones-Drew managed to run for 112 yards on 17 carries for Jacksonville.

Running back Michael Turner ran for 61 yards and a touchdown for the Falcons, while defensive lineman John Abraham recorded three and-a-half of the five sacks of Gabbert.
