So I guess boxer Manny Pacquiao wasn't lying when he said he had a shoulder injury after he lost his fight to Floyd "Money" Mayweather Saturday night.

Later this week, Pacquiao will undergo right shoulder surgery to repair a significant tear in his rotator cuff. Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache says that the tear will require surgery and will keep him out of action for nine months to a year.

So the fact that Pacquiao has this injury explains why he wasn't as aggressive as people expected him to be during the fight especially during the late rounds. On Saturday night, Pacquiao lost a unanimous decision to Floyd Mayweather in their long-awaited welterweight championship showdown which was the richest fight in boxing history and one of the most anticipated bouts of all time.
