In the eighth inning, Jeff Francoeur made his first professional pitching appearance and tossed a 1-2-3 inning before tipping his cap to the cheering Las Vegas fans. In the same inning, El Paso reliever Tony Sipp made his professional outfield debut, entering the game to play left field.
