The internet and blog sites are amazing, but there is a catch-22.  In an effort to constantly fill the 24/7/365 news cycle and 'feed the beast,' many bloggers/sites (myself included) stretch for content.

For instance, take USC's arrival at the El Paso International Airport earlier today.  Lane Kiffin and the Trojans were greeted with traditional El Paso/Sun Bowl hospitality that includes tons of people, folklorico dancers, and mariachis.  The official USC athletics Twitter page tweeted out a picture of Kiffin rocking a sombrero.  Within minutes, the photo had gone viral.

There are many more, but you get the idea.

I'll admit, it is amusing and out of the ordinary to see a football coach in a comically oversized hat made popular by bandits and cowboys over a century ago.  However, is there really so little going on today that it was worth blogging about?  I'll give myself a pass since it is technically a 'local story.'

Without further adieu, here is Lane Kiffin rocking a sombrero like one of the 'Three Amigos.'
