As a point guard for Brandeis High School in San Antonio, Kobe Magee quickly became one of the most talked-about basketball players in the city. UTEP liked what they had seen from him and signed Magee to a scholarship last fall. Now, the 6-1 guard is on campus and preparing for the transition to college basketball.

One thing that immediately comes to mind after watching that video profile is Magee's unselfish style of basketball. His pass-first mentality will benefit UTEP, but don't think he will have trouble scoring. Magee is a 42-percent three point shooter and he averaged 19.2 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game as a senior. Miner fans should be excited about the future at the point guard position with Magee and fellow incoming freshman Evan Gilyard.
