New Wichita State women's basketball head coach Keitha Adams met the El Paso media one final time on the court at the Don Haskins today to say goodbye to Miner fans. Adams, who enjoyed a successful 16-year run with the Miners, leaves as the school's most successful head coach. She guided UTEP to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, the school's first ever NCAA win, and two deep runs in the WNIT. Ewa Laskowska, who spent all 16 years with Adams as her assistant coach, will be joining her at Wichita State. Director of Athletics Bob Stull is currently reviewing candidates for the head coaching position and he hopes to have the job filled in the next two to three weeks.
