Former UTEP women's basketball head coach Keitha Adams was officially introduced today at Wichita State's Charles Koch Arena. The Kansas native prepared an opening statement before she was joined by her new team.

Adams was grateful to be returning home to Kansas, although she mentioned El Paso and UTEP at different points in her press conference.

"I want to especially recognize all the wonderful people at UTEP. I want to thank all the coaches and players that helped me in our program to make it special. We made history. We had great experiences that I will cherish forever. We sold out the Don Haskins Center twice, with 12,232 fans. We can make that seem dream come true here at WSU. I've been very fortunate to have relationships with [UTEP men's basketball coaches] Don Haskins and Tim Floyd, and I really look forward to talking hoops with [Gregg Marshall]."

Adams is expected to return to El Paso later this week and address the local fand and media one final time. There has been no developments regarding her successor at UTEP, although associate head coach Ewa Laskowska is reportedly interested in the position.
