The Fourth of July is celebrated with cookouts, fireworks, family time, The Twilight Zone marathon and the annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York.  This year, on the 100th anniversary of this storied event, eight time champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, who won the competition from 2007- 2014 was looking to regain his belt after a stunning defeat to Matt Stonie last year.

Chestnut did not disappoint as he came out with nonstop rage by eating an average of 7.1 hot dogs per minute to set a new Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest record by devouring 70 dogs.  Defending champion Matt Stonie gave a valid effort by coming in second place with 53 hot dogs, but was no match for 'Jaws.'  You have to love the Fourth of July, now go enjoy your cookouts and have some delicious hot dogs!
