Veteran outfielder Jeff Francoeur became an instant fan favorite the minute he stepped foot on the outfield grass at Southwest University Park. The 30-year old Chihuahuas right fielder has enjoyed his first two months in El Paso, despite spending the previous nine years in the Major Leagues. Francoeur is currently hitting .271 with 10 home runs and 34 RBIs this season. He told Chihuahuas radio voice Tim Hagerty that he has most enjoyed the El Paso baseball fans, and says they are louder than the Royals fans in Kansas City.
