Yesterday, UTEP issued a release announcing that most of the tickets for the remaining two men's basketball home games have been reduced to $8 and $10. The promotion is huge since fans can pay just $10 for a ticket normally priced as much as $26. However, what UTEP failed to mention is the whopping $8.50 additional charge in fees if you order them online. I discovered the ridiculous upcharge when visiting the Ticketmaster website this morning. However, there is an easy way to avoid spending nearly double the advertised price to watch the Miners.

All you need to do is visit either the UTEP Ticket Center in front of the Don Haskins Center or the UTEP Miners Store at 1452 North Zaragoza (and Don Haskins Drive) Suite A-500. They have plenty of tickets available to both home games for $8 and $10 each without any fees.

Spread the word, since UTEP's biggest home game this season is a little more than 24 hours away. If the Miners beat Old Dominion, they will clinch the third seed in next week's C-USA Tournament in Birmingham. Hopefully, fans will jump on the cheap ticket offer and give the Miners the home court advantage they deserve for the big game.
