Former El Paso Chihuahua Rymer Liriano Gets Hit In Face By Fastball

Former El Paso Chihuahua and San Diego Padre, now Milwaukee Brewer, took the plate in a Spring Training game against the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 20. It was in the bottom of the 8th inning with one out on a 2-2 count and MIL with a 3-1 lead. That is when Rymer took a fastball from Pitcher Matt West.

Liriano was sent to a nearby hospital after leaving Maryville Baseball Park on a stretcher.

Being a fan of Rymer's while he was here in El Paso as a Dawg, a speedy recovery is definitely in my hopes.
