Football Friday Nights- Applebee’s Top Ten
It's hard to believe, but we have reached the final week of the regular season. All the playoff spots are locked down in 1-4A and 1-5A. Canutillo, Horizon, and Ysleta are all vying for the final two spots in 2-4A. It should be a fun final week.
Franklin
The Cougars have a chance to finish the district schedule undefeated with a Thursday win in the 'Westside Bowl' against Coronado.
Montwood
Montwood can clinch a share of the 1-5A title with a win over Socorro on Friday and a Franklin loss to Coronado.
Chapin
The Huskies finished the district season undefeated with a Thursday win over Jefferson. Chapin can rest a week before they likely play Canutillo in the first round of the playoffs.
Del Valle
Del Valle clinched at least a share of the 2-4A crown with an impressive win over Riverside. The Conquistadores finish their season hosting Parkland.
Americas
Americas steamrolled Eastwood on Friday night. They finish the season with a big one Thursday night against El Dorado.
Burges
Aaron Jones' four touchdowns lifted the Mustangs to a big win over Bowie. Burges will host El Paso High in their final game of the season.
El Dorado
El Dorado made easy work of Coronado to clinch a playoff berth. The Aztecs will close the season Thursday with a huge game against Americas at the SAC.
Andress
The Eagles rolled El Paso High at Jones Stadium. Andress will get a week off before taking on Del Valle in the first round of the playoffs.
Riverside
The Rangers hung tough but fell to Del Valle in a key 2-4A showdown. Riverside finishes the season on the 'smurf turf' at Canutillo.
Horizon
The Scorpions needed overtime to survive a game effort by the Parkland Matadors. Horizon will need to defeat Ysleta at home to ensure a playoff berth.
