With two weeks left in the season, it's time to start looking ahead to the playoffs. Franklin has clinched at least a share of the 1-5A title for the first time since 2005. El Paso finds themselves in the postseason for the first time since 1996. Del Valle and Riverside will play for the 2-4A title this Friday.
Franklin
The Cougars showed why they are the number one team in the city with a convincing 42-7 win over El Dorado. Franklin is off until the Westside Bowl against Coronado on Thursday, November 3rd.
Montwood
The Rams put together one of their best performances of the season in a 44-17 win over Americas. Montwood hosts Hanks this Thursday.
Chapin
The Huskies have climbed all the way to number 3 after an 0-2 start. Chapin downed Austin 38-14. The Huskies finish their season Thursday nigh against Jefferson.
Del Valle
The Conquistadores were too much for San Eli to handle in a 61-0 shutout. Del Valle and Riverside will play for the 2-4A crown this Friday.
Americas
Americas drops a few spots after their 44-17 loss to Montwood. The Trailblazers will try and rebound Friday at Eastwood.
Burges
The Mustangs rebounded from their first loss with a 39-21 victory over Irvin. Burges travels to Baty-Simmang to take on Bowie.
Riverside
The Rangers were impressive in a 46-7 win at Horizon. Riverside can't celebrate too much, they will host Del Valle for the 2-4A title this Friday.
El Dorado
The Aztecs took a huge plunge after Thursday's 42-7 loss to Franklin. They will have to beat Coronado on Friday to ensure a playoff spot.
Andress
The Eagles climb a spot after a 42-0 shutout of Jefferson. They travel to Jones to take on El Paso this Friday.
El Paso High
The Tigers clinched their first playoff birth since 1996 with a 41-21 win over Bowie. They will host Andress this Friday.
