The season is three weeks old, and the usual suspects are establishing their superiority. Burges continues to impress, as predicted by Tony and Andy.
El Dorado
The Aztecs remained perfect with a 36-24 win over Hanks. El Dorado will take on Socorro Thursday at the SAC.
Franklin
Jack Fields got his, but the Cougars got the 28-25 victory over Americas. Franklin heads east to take on Hanks on Friday.
Americas
The previously number one Trailblazers fell 28-25 to Franklin. Americas will try an rebound Friday at home against Coronado.
Montwood
The Rams steamrolled Bel Air 61-27. They are rewarded with a bye week.
Burges
The Mustangs continued to impress with a 37-20 win over Riverside. The Mustangs manhandled the Rangers and Riverside quarterback Brian Hinojo left the game in the third with a rib injury. The Stangs get a week off before starting district play against Andress.
Del Valle
The Conquistadores are back on the fringe of the top five after an impressive 35-6 win over Austin. Del Valle gets Jefferson on Friday.
Andress
After an air assault against Socorro, the Eagles returned to the ground to roll Horizon 42-24. Andress opens district play next Friday against Chapin.
Chapin
After a one week absence, the Huskies are back in the poll after a 50-20 win over Parkland. Chapin will showdown with rival Andress on Friday.
Horizon
Andress stung the Scorpions 42-24. The will get a week off before taking on Alamogordo in two weeks.
Riverside
The Rangers almost fell out of the poll after a 37-20 loss to Burges. Thankfully a week off and a district opener against San Eli in two weeks should give Brian Hinojo and Riverside enough time to rest up.
