All three major El Paso-area districts have finally begun district play.  1-5A is now at their third week, 2-5A on their second week, and 1-6A kicked off.  While we witnessed some games get out of hand, we also had three games that came down to the wire.  Parkland, Ysleta, and Americas were all victorious in hotly contested games.

On Thursday Night, Coronado needed overtime to beat El Dorado 50-42 to kick off 1-6A play.

In our Apex by Sunglass Hut Game of the Week, Parkland held on for the 10-7 victory over Hanks in quite the defensive battle.

Franklin jumped out to an early 21-0 lead and held on for the 38-12 win over Montwood.

Ysleta held on in an exciting match after jumping to a 14-0 to beat Bel Air 28-27.

Americas came back from two scores down and scored 20 unanswered points to overcome Eastwood 37-30.
