The regular season came to a close in Week Eleven of Football Friday Night.  All playoff matchups were settled  in all area districts, Montwood was still looking for their first win of the season, and there was a huge upset in a classic rivalry game on Saturday.  Let's see how all games ended up.

On Thursday Night, Franklin sealed an undefeated District 1-6A Championship with a 53-28 victory over Eastwood.  The Troopers were still able to qualify for their first playoff berth since 2005 thanks to El Dorado's win over Americas (Eastwood (3-3) beat Coronado (3-3) head-to-head).

The Aztecs took care of Americas to jump into second place in 1-6A and eliminated the idle Coronado Thunderbirds in the process.

Chapin officially eliminated El Paso High from the playoff race in District 1-5A with a 45-7 beatdown.

In our Apex by Sunglass Hut Game of the Week, Bel Air ran away from Parkland in the fourth quarter to clinch the school's first playoff berth since 1998.  The Highlanders won 28-7.

Eastlake finished undefeated in 2-5A and the lone District Champs with a 42-14 rout of Hanks.

Canutillo finished their dominant run in 1-5A with a 41-14 win over Irvin.  The Eagles finished undefeated in 1-5A and won the district title.

Del Valle shut out Horizon 62-0.  The Scorpions went winless for the first time since their inception into varsity football.

Andrews dominated yet again to run away with 2-4A Division 1 title, beating Clint 49-6.

Ysleta defeated their hated rival Riverside for the second consecutive year to finish 7-3 overall, winning 47-20.  The Indians are headed to their first playoffs since 2002, the last time they also won seven games.

Mountain View beat San Elizario 32-21 to earn their only District 2-4A victory and earned the final playoff spot.

Montwood needed overtime but finally got their first win of the season, beating rival Socorro 20-14.

Austin beat Burges 35-24.

Cobre dominated Cathedral 46-14.

Shallowater closed an undefeated 2-3A Division Championship by shutting out Tornillo 55-0.

Christoval, already in the playoffs, shut out Anthony.  The Wildcats went 0-10 in 2014.

In the famed Battle of Las Cruces, Mayfield held on for a tough 28-27 victory over heated rival Las Cruces High at Aggie Memorial Stadium.
