Bravos de FC Juarez will return to Copa MX competition tonight when they face Alebrijes de Oaxaca in the round of 16.  The single elimination match will take place here in the Borderland at Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium at 8pm.  The game will be nationally televised here in the United States on ESPN Deportes.

If FC Juarez wins they will Mexican first division powerhouse, and one of the most popular soccer teams in the entire world Chivas de Guadalajara. Chivas defeated Morelia (another first division club) by the score of 1-0 last night.  That match single elimination match would also take place here in the Borderland because Bravos has a higher seed in the 16 team bracket.

The Bravos are coming off of a loss on the road to Loros de Colima by a score of 2-1.  With this most recent defeat the FC Juarez remains in 9th place with 15 points earned on the season, just one point out of the playoff zone.

Saturday's match was one that saw two players (Eder Borelli and Felix Micolta) for the team from the Borderland get sent off due to red cards that were administered by 2 of the biggest ticky-tac fouls you will ever see in soccer.

As a result both Borelli and Micolta will miss the next league match next Saturday at home.  They will be available for tonight's Copa match if head coach Sergio Orduna decides to call on them.

The next league match for FC Juarez will be also be against Alebrijes de Oaxaca.  So needless to say that Oaxaca will remain in the Borderland tonight after the Copa MX match through Saturday.
