Tonight Bravos de FC Juarez will face one of the most popular teams in Mexican soccer in one of the greatest soccer stadiums in the entire world. The Bravos will face Club America in the round of 16 of the 2018 Apertura edition of the Copa MX. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8pm MST.

The team from the Borderland will go in to the knockout phase of this competition as the number 16 seed. Only one match is played to determined who advances on to the quarterfinals, with an immediate penalty kick shootout if the match is time after 90-minutes of play.

FC Juarez left the Borderland yesterday for Mexico City for the match that will be played at Azteca Stadium. Prior to departing midfielder Gabriel Hachen addressed the media, commenting the following. Hachen said, “I’m happy, excited and motivated about the upcoming match against America. We must play intelligently, aware of our strengths and limitations as well as theirs. We are focused heading into to tomorrow night. It’s a match in which we can make a little bit of history for our institution by eliminating America.”

Tonight’s match will be televised nationally on Univision Deportes Network.
