Grab your sombreros and come out the best party in town: The Mexican Food Cook-Off, presented by Metro PCS, on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016. The cook-off is making its way back to San Jacinto Plaza, the heart of downtown.

Bring the whole family out, admission is only $3 per person OR you can stop by any Metro PCS store and pick up a Free Admission Pass! (Passes will be available starting Aug. 15.)

The festival will feature the annual cook-off where competitors from around the region will compete to be named the best chef in El Paso, the competition will take place in the Village of Cottonwood Springs cooking tent.

We’ll also be serving up the best Mexican Food from over 20 local vendors. Mexican Food Cook-Off tokens will be used for purchasing food, they are sold in $2 increments and will be available at any TFCU token booth.

Family fun including a live loteria tent will be on site, the battle of the rock and roll mariachis will take place on the Tecate Stage throughout the evening along with folklorico performances, and more will be going on during the festival! Make sure you stop by the MINI of El Paso display within the footprint and take a fun selfie.

New this year, check out the Chuco Art competition going on during the event. Local artists will come together and make one of a kind pieces that showcase living on the border and the uniqueness of El Paso’s heritage.
