It was the Wolf brothers show for the El Paso High Tigers as they defeated Clint 30-20 at Jones Stadium on a windy, gloomy evening.

The first half was a low scoring affair, both teams went into the locker room at halftime with Clint leading El Paso High 6-3.  The Tigers came out in the second half poised and determined to get the victory at home.  On their first possession of the 3rd quarter freshman running back Trey Wolf scored on a 36 yard touchdown run to give El Paso High the 10-6 lead.

At that point in the game Wolf had accumulated 117 rushing yards on just 5 carries.  Following the Tigers' touchdown, Clint QB Jaimie Navarrete led the Lions down the field and scored on a 1 yard quarterback keeper to give Clint the 12-10 lead.  Navarrete had 2 rushing TD's in the game.  A few minutes later El Paso High regained the lead as Quarterback Bryant Wolf threw a 27 yard to wide receiver Andrew Vazquez.

The Tigers never looked back and went on to win the game 30-20.  Clint ruined any chance of being competitive in the second half by committing 3 turnovers.  For the Tigers the Wolf brothers were stellar.  Quarterback Bryant Wolf had 10 carries for 127 yards, threw for 1 TD, and scored on a 96 yard QB keeper virtually from his own end zone.  His brother, running back Trey Wolf had 9 carries for 128 yards and a touchdown.

El Paso High is idle next week and will then travel to Irvin on September 27th.  Clint will try to rebound at Cathedral next Friday.
