Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garret announced on Tuesday that running back Darren McFadden had surgery to repair a fractured elbow. Apparently McFadden hurt his elbow in an accident at his home two weeks ago but he was still able to practice with the team last week before he learned how bad his elbow really was on Monday.

Due to the surgery, McFadden is going to be out for 2 months which means he will miss the first half of training camp. This will allow first round pick Ezekiel Elliott to get plenty of reps in this week's minicamp and also in training camp as he is trying to become the starting running back for the team.
