One Cleveland Browns fan has taken it upon himself to help the team find a suitable quarterback.

A fan of beleaguered franchise posted a Craigslist ad looking for a quarterback for the team.

The sarcastic listing starts off with bang:

Hello, and thanks for reading. Have you played pro football? College ball? Highschool? Pee-wee? Have you played Madden before? Do you sort of kind of know some of the rules of football? If yes keep reading. If no…well also keep reading! We will take ANYONE.

Browns fans, who have grown accustomed to struggling, have really taken it on the chin this year. The team pulled a shocker by trading last year’s top pick, running back Trent Richardson, and then has had to endure poor play by quarterback Brandon Weeden, who stepped in after Brian Hoyer, who won two games in a row, went down with an injury.

A graduate student named Seth Pae has taken credit for the ad. He said, “I was blowing off steam. We’ve had like 396 quarterbacks since 1999. It’s a bit much. We’re still looking for ‘the one.’ I feel like we’re the Ted Mosby of football teams; we’re still looking for the one.”

Finding a solid QB has been a huge problem for the Browns – while Pae’s assessment is a bit high, the team has had 19 players go under center since 1999. The franchise has also appeared in a grand total of one playoff game in that time.

To give you an idea of how erratic the QB play has been, here’s Weeden tossing an interception in last week’s loss to the Lions.
