Trailing 8-2, the Chihuahuas scored five times in a nine-batter bottom of the sixth to get within one run. El Paso scored three times in the bottom of the eighth in another nine-batter inning. Tyler Greene’s RBI single tied the game and Jace Peterson’s bases-loaded single put El Paso ahead to stay.

El Paso collected 20 hits as a team, the most in the team’s 57-game history. The Chihuahuas entered Saturday in exclusive holding of second place for the first time since April 14th and with Saturday’s win and a Las Vegas loss, advanced to 7.5 games out of first place.
