The El Paso Chihuahuas came back from a 7-0 deficit to beat the Las Vegas 51s Sunday, 10-9. The bulk of the scoring came in El Paso’s seven-run sixth inning, which started with five consecutive hits. El Paso’s Jake Goebbert, Jace Peterson and Tyler Greene each had two hits and a home run. The Chihuahuas split their second homestand and now have an 8-8 record at Southwest University Park.

The eleven-batter sixth inning rally included a two-run double by Peterson, a sacrifice fly from Jonathan Galvez, an RBI double by Greene and a two-run, pinch-hit double by Cody Decker. The seven-run rally was the most runs El Paso has scored in an inning and completed the biggest comeback the Chihuahuas have had to date.
