Chad Johnson Cut by Miami Dolphins After Domestic Abuse Arrest

What’s the lifespan of a dolphin? Really short if you’re Chad Johnson. The player, formerly known as Ochocinco, was cut by the Miami Dolphins today just hours after his domestic abuse arrest.

Johnson, 34, was released on bail this morning after allegedly head-butting his new wife, reality TV star Evelyn Lozada. According to ESPN, he was released by the Dolphins this afternoon. Just days ago, Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin was concerned about Johnson’s role on the team citing his profanity and behavior as potential problems.

According to the police report, Johnson and his wife began fighting after she found a receipt for condoms in his car. After he allegedly head-butted his wife, she fled to a neighbor’s house for safety.
