Today I referenced the $60 million dollar high school football stadium that was built in the Dallas suburb of Allen. Not a typo! Taxpayers in Allen voted to fund the project in the midst of one of the biggest periods of education cuts our country has seen.

Boston’s Cathedral High School football team has learned a hard lesson about the importance of sportsmanship.

The team lost out on the Division 4A Super Bowl title last Saturday when it was penalized for poor sportsmanship after its QB ran into the end zone for what appeared to be the game-winning touchdown.

The ‘Payback Tour’ has come to a close, but the Burges Mustangs’ journey lost a little steam, as they lost to El Paso High last Friday in the last regular season game.

Despite the loss, the 8-2 Mustangs have earned a playoff spot. They take on the Horizon Scorpions Friday at Horizon. The winner will be the bi-district champions.
