There are those people whose bucket list consists of spending at least one summer in Paris before being bagged, tagged and greeted by Saint Peter at the pearly gates. And then, there are those whose aspirations to fulfill their lifelong dreams are a bit more modest – like getting sauced in some of the most culturally significant bars in America.
600 ESPN El Paso's very own Steve Kaplowitz is being inducted into the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame this week, and we all would like to congratulate him for this honor! We'd also like to thank him for all his work and dedication to sports, our local athletes, and the city of El Paso!

Everyone is planning things in advance, what with gas prices climbing still, everything else costing more. So I thought giving you a heads up on this year’s El Paso Downtown Streetfest will help you begin plotting your summer fun!
The kids will be off from school, the 4th of July holiday is a nice relaxing cookout day when many El Pasoans’ only plan is to sneak outside of the city limits and shoot off some fireworks. We get it. (It’s our plan, too!)
El Paso, “The Pass to the North”, has a long history with many famous people and events. Some of the buildings in and around the area have a fantastic story and history themselves, and in case you haven't wandered inside these buildings, this might be a good time to go check them out!

Sometimes it seems like we're so isolated and alone here in El Paso, and no one ever gets out and really does anything that the rest of the world will notice.
This really isn't the case! There are tons of well-known people in different areas that are pretty well-known for what they've done! You probably know some of them and don't even realize they're originally from here!
