Canutillo continues to punish their opponents with their crushing defense that has now only allowed 37 points through 6 games.  The Eagles' latest route came at the expense of the Horizon Scorpions at Lowenberg Stadium, as they cruised to the easy 48-0 win.  Offensively Canutillo has now scored 127 points in their last three games, and shut out two of their last three District 2-5A foes.

The Eagles were so dominant during their win on Friday that they only allowed Horizon to pass mid field once all night long.  When the Scorpions finally seemed to be putting their first scoring drive together in the third quarter, Canutillo caused a fumble and OLB Adam Salgado returned it 80 yards for the defensive touchdown.

Eagles' QB Danny Alvarez finished the game by going 2 for 6 with 44 yards and one passing touchdown, but did the majority of his damage on the ground by rushing for 90 yards on 9 carries, with 3 TD's.  Star RB Aaron Moya had a modest night with 12 carries for 57 yards and 1 touchdown.

With the win, Canutillo's record remains perfect at 6-0, 3-0 in District 2-5A, and will travel to Ysleta to face the Indians next Friday.  With the loss, Horizon falls to 1-4, 0-3 in District 2-5A, and will host Parkland next week.
