Canutillo continues to impress as they defeated previously unbeaten Mountain View 26-3 at Lowenberg Stadium on Friday night.  The game was a battle of field goals in the first half as the Eagles took a 6-0 lead over the Lobos heading into the locker room.  A Canutillo fumble by QB Caleb Rodriguez set Mountain View up in great scoring position in the third quarter at the Eagles' 41 yard line as the Lobos got on the board with a 37 yard field goal to make it a 6-3 game in favor of Canutillo at the 4:03 mark of the quarter.

That was as close as Mountain View would get though as the team went 0-2 on fourth down conversions in the second half and Canutillo running back Carlos Amato scored two crucial touchdowns late in the game to put it away for the Eagles.  With the victory Canutillo moves to 2-1 on the season and will travel to Del Valle for a potentially classic battle next Friday.  Mountain View moves to 2-1 on the season with the loss, and will host Tornillo next week.
