Canutillo proved why they are clearly one of the top teams in the city by dismantling Hanks 45-0 at Lowenberg Stadium on Friday night.  The game was never close as the Eagles began their scoring barrage early in the first quarter as star running back Aaron Moya scored his seventh touchdown of the young season on a stunning 49 yard run to put Canutillo up 6-0.

Hanks blinked and was down 21-0 before the first quarter was done thanks to Canutillo's relentless defense and stellar ground game, which is one of the best in the city.  Eagles' QB Danny Alvarez also performed brilliantly throughout the contest as he scored three rushing touchdowns in the first half alone.  At halftime Canutillo had a commanding 33-0 lead, and cruised throughout the remainder of the game for the easy victory.

The Eagles' quintessential RB Aaron Moya finished the game with 15 carries for 232 yards and 3 touchdowns.  What was even more amazing is that the senior accumulated these whopping numbers in around two and a half quarters of play, as he sat out a good portion of the second half because the game was well in hand.
