From the news on 5ATexasFootball.com's twitter feed (@5ATXFB), 600 ESPN El Paso has been able to confirm from sources at El Paso ISD that El Dorado high school has self-reported using an ineligible player for its final two district games to the University Interscholastic League, the governing body for Texas public school competitions and sports.

If the UIL pulls El Dorado from the playoffs, District 1-5A's fifth place team, Coronado, would take its place.

There was speculation that Coronado's entrance would bump Americas High from the small school bracket into the big school bracket, but 600's Steve Kaplowitz is hearing that this will probably not be the case; which means that, despite a smaller enrollment, Coronado would merely take El Dorado's place and play San Angelo Central at Midland's Grande Communications Stadium this Saturday at 11 am MST.

With no ruling expected until Wednesday, should El Dorado be denied a playoff berth, re-organizing multiple games, opponents and perhaps even sites could prove problematic.
