COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller had minor outpatient surgery on his right shoulder on Friday morning.

A release from Ohio State said the surgery on his throwing shoulder took place at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Miller, the Big Ten’s offensive player of the year, will be limited in his activities throughout spring drills.

The Buckeyes begin practices on March 4 and play their annual spring intrasquad scrimmage on April 12 at Ohio Stadium.

Despite missing almost three complete games with a sprained knee, Miller ran for 1,068 yards and 12 touchdowns and passed for 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season as the Buckeyes went 12-2.
