Boxer Antonio Escalante Arrested On Suspicion Of DWI

Last night, El Paso Boxer Antonio Escalante was arrested on suspicion of DWI just before 9:00 p.m. in Northeast El Paso.

According to the arrest affidavit, El Paso Police were dispatched to an assault call at 10701 Martin Luther King at 8:53 p.m. Monday evening. When officers got to the scene, they allegedly found Escalante asleep behind the wheel of a 2004 Mazda that was still running and in gear.

Escalante was booked into the El Paso County Jail on suspicion of driving while intoxicated with an open alcoholic container.
