Mando “The Monster” Medina is the KLAQ Morning Show’s producer and resident bad-ass. Monster is also the host of "Crunchtime," a weekly sports talk show that can be heard on KROD 600 AM Saturdays from 10 am-1pm. A rasslin’ fan from childhood, Monster actually had his own rasslin’ talk show back in the day, loved and respected for its hard-hitting interviews, scintillating conversation and wry observations on the rich and meaningful world of sports entertainment – all made more incredible by the fact it was accomplished by using words of no more than two syllables. Monster’s exploration into the many meanings and uses of the word “Guey” still stands as a seminal radio achievement. What many people don’t know about Monster is that he is a passionate collector of rare dolls (which he calls “action figures”), a passion he shares with Buzz Adams. A noted pie connoisseur, Monster is known whipping up his own, should the need arise.
