(RIO RANCHO, NM) -- Though the New Mexico Renegades are playing for the playoff lives, the El Paso Rhinos outshot their hosts, 53-24, and dominated throughout for a 6-1 win Friday night. Listen to Saturday's and Sunday's games on 600 ESPN El Paso.
Ya gotta love ESPN's "First Take" for the in-your-face antics of Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith. Ya gotta love it even more when the people they talk smack about smack back! Count Seahawks DB Richard Sherman among that number. He doesn't like that Skip Bayless said he wasn't in Jets DB Darrelle Revis' league.
ESPN is talking about the LA Times article in which Tim Floyd talked about meeting with USC AD Pat Haden about the Trojans' coaching job.
Sports Spin with Andy Lee and SportsTalk with Steve Kaplowitz (with Chad Middleton on both) will have the latest on the breaking news about Tim Floyd this afternoon. Check 600ESPNElPaso.com for all the latest including post-game interviews and more as the Miners take on the No. 25 Memphis Tigers at the Don Haskins Center.
They're doing it for charity. That's what you can tell yourself after you watch this. As if "Golf Boys" wasn't enough, PGA Tour stars Ben Crane, defending Masters' champion Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler and Hunter Mahan have returned for "Golf Boys 2.Oh". It's hilarious, though you may feel cheap and too-easily entertained afterward. But, hey, that's what the internet is for, right?
A high school basketball tournament in Westchester, NY, ended with a crazy buzzer-beater yesterday. The score was Mt. Vernon 60, New Rochelle 58 with 2.9 seconds left. A Mt. Vernon player stole the inbound pass and just tossed the ball up in the air to burn the rest of the clock. Not a bad idea. He just didn't throw it high enough. New Rochelle's Khalid Edney caught it, shot it...and swished it from 55 feet away to win the game!
