As a kid, sports was a staple growing up in the Dominguez household. As the youngest of six, it was hard to avoid it. Barbies and playing dress-up took back seat as compared to watching Michael Jordan up against Magic Johnson, watching my older sisters cheer under the Friday night lights against the 1988 Odessa Permian football team, seeing Tyson lose his titles to underdog James "Buster" Douglas, covering my eyes and dunking in the backyard like Dee Brown or quite simply laying on the bed with my mom and sister Monica watching Kristi Yamaguchi and Nancy Kerrigan represent the USA with toe loops and triple axels. I was born and raised in El Paso. I went to Irvin High School where I focused on journalism. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Broadcasting and a minor in Exercise and Sport Sciences. I worked in Texas markets, including Fox Sports Southwest and ESPN Dallas, which has brought me full circle back home where my passion for sports and broadcasting have finally come together. I don't presume to know everything in sports, but I do have the journalistic ability to ask all the right questions. I'm excited to be back home and talk sports on "Sports Spin with Andy Lee." My favorite teams are the UTEP Miners, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I encourage more females to listen, call in and quit wearing their boyfriend/husband's jerseys, but rep their own!
