Crystal Dominguez

As a kid, sports was a staple growing up in the Dominguez household. As the youngest of six, it was hard to avoid it. Barbies and playing dress-up took back seat as compared to watching Michael Jordan up against Magic Johnson, watching my older sisters cheer under the Friday night lights against the 1988 Odessa Permian football team, seeing Tyson lose his titles to underdog James "Buster" Douglas, covering my eyes and dunking in the backyard like Dee Brown or quite simply laying on the bed with my mom and sister Monica watching Kristi Yamaguchi and Nancy Kerrigan represent the USA with toe loops and triple axels. I was born and raised in El Paso. I went to Irvin High School where I focused on journalism. I graduated  from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Broadcasting and a minor in Exercise and Sport Sciences. I worked in Texas markets, including Fox Sports Southwest and ESPN Dallas, which has brought me full circle back home where my passion for sports and broadcasting have finally come together. I don't presume to know everything in sports, but I do have the journalistic ability to ask all the right questions. I'm excited to be back home and talk sports on "Sports Spin with Andy Lee." My favorite teams are the UTEP Miners, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I encourage more females to listen, call in and quit wearing their boyfriend/husband's jerseys, but rep their own! The Faces of Defeat: From the Miners to the Cowboys

Week 5 and the Dallas Cowboys are resting this weekend in their bye-week. After their loss in Week 4 on Monday Night Football to the Chicago Bears, many fans have given up and lost hope. But the season is still young. As far as UTEP, they're spiriling downward and it's just the begining of conference play. As far as football goes, the majority of El Pasoans are feeling a bit bummed when it comes to their teams.

Fantasy Week 4: Real Refs, Bye-Weeks, Added Sleepers and Dropped Keepers

Some strange things have gone on in the NFL this season and it's just the beginning. After the Monday Night Football game that gave the Seattle Seahawks the "W" over the Green Bay Packers with the Hail Mary pass which turned into "The Inaccurate Reception" --  many fantasy football players were upset as it didn't just cost the Pack the game, but their own fantasy team -- which is way more serious, right?

Could MLB Titles Be Tarnished by PED’s?

We all know baseball is a game filled with stats and those who are among the elite possess some of the best numbers low or high depending on the category. But when it comes to batting averages, homeruns, RBI's, strikeouts and ERA's -- one thing should hold certain, the winner of an MLB title should be clean as a whistle.
