It is hard to believe that boxer Antonio Escalante is back in the news and for the fourth time this year, he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. The El Pasoan was stopped at the same convenience store where he was arrested back in February.

Escalante was once again found at the Howdy's Convenience store at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. and Gateway North. However, this time it was 4:30pm in the afternoon. According to the arrest affidavit, Escalante was found inside his gray Pontiac asleep and when asked to exit the vehicle, he had slurred speech, glassy eyes, and had difficulty standing without falling over. The arrest affidavit also indicated that Escalante had urinated on himself.

Escalante was booked into an El Paso County Jail with a $25,000 bond. Since this is his fourth arrest on suspicion of DWI, it appears to be a violation of his probation from his prior DWI arrests. In October, Escalante had pleaded guilty to two DWI's (February and July) and was sentenced to 18 months probation. He is also awaiting trial on May 8th 2015 for DWI with a child under 15 years of age.
