The NMSU Aggies are flying high coming off their 28-21 win at Minnesota and facing their I-10 rivals, UTEP. The Miners lost their starting quarterback, Nick Lamaison, not to mention the game at SMU, 28-17.

Though this is junior WR Kemonte’ Bateman’s first Sonic Battle of I-10, he’s being familiarized to the rivalry through an old JuCo rival of his own, Miners senior DB Travaun Nixon.

Bateman, who played at Pasadena JC, will more than likely be lined up across from his old Ventura JC foe more than once Saturday. The two are looking forward to facing each other again.
